M7, ESA has chosen an INAF-led mission (FORMAL DECISION EXPECTED IN NOVEMBER)

The ESA Advisory Committee has chosen the “seven sister probes” of the Plasma Observatory constellation as the seventh medium-size mission. Proposed by a team led by Maria Federica Marcucci of the National Institute for Astrophysics, it will be a constellation of seven satellites to study Earth’s magnetosphere. The launch will take place around the middle of the next decade.
